The diesel engine of 2.5 l has 2 gear belts, accordingly for a drive of camshafts and ТНВД.

Visual check of a condition

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Remove the top cover of the engine, address to Section Removal and installation of the top cover of the engine / the bottom protection of an impellent compartment/stretcher. Remove the top cover of a gear belt, address to Section Removal and installation of a gear belt of drive ГРМ. Check up a gear belt on presence of following damages:
      Cracks, cross-section anguishes. Stratifications (the case of a gear belt, a tension branch). Having chopped off on the case of a gear belt. Разлохмачивания a tension branch. Superficial breakages (a cover from plastic) Oil and greasing traces.
    The belt having damages, it is necessary to replace immediately (work HUNDRED).

Check of a tension of a belt of drive ТНВД

At a gear belt of a drive of camshafts within the limits of maintenance service carrying out it is not necessary to check a tension, since the belt stretches a roller automatically.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Check up, whether labels (1) and (2) on a tension roller coincide. If labels do not coincide, tighten a gear belt.

    Ослабьте a nut of fastening of a tension roller with the help накидного a key or a head, for example, AUDI-3078 (1). Thus the tension roller is necessary for keeping from проворачивания a face key.
    Turn a tension roller a face key (2) counter-clockwise (in an arrow direction on an illustration) so that the index (3) on a tension roller stood opposite to a label (4). In this position tighten a nut of fastening of a tension roller накидным a key or a head the moment 36Нм.
    Establish into place the top cover of a gear belt, address to Section Removal and installation of a gear belt of drive ГРМ.
    Establish the top cover of the engine, address to Section Removal and installation of the top cover of the engine / the bottom protection of an impellent compartment/stretcher.
