Removal and installation of a cover of the lever of switching of transfers/selectors

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Open an ashtray. Strongly pull upwards a cover of the lever of switching (2) together with a cover (6), having disconnected from four clips.
    Remove a cover (6) upwards. Turn counter-clockwise a nut (5) and remove the handle (4) from the lever.

Depending on model instead of a nut there can be a collar. (1) – a selector cover.

    Press laths and disconnect a cover from a framework (3).

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Installation is carried out in sequence, return to removal. Thus put on a cover the lever of switching (arrow) turn a nut (5) clockwise (marksman).

Automatic transmission

Removal

    Establish the selector in position D.
    Turn the plug (1) counter-clockwise and shift down to an emphasis.
    Cautiously pull a stopper (2) of the handle (3) so that the cable collar could be advanced through a backlash between a stopper and the handle.

Do not extend a stopper far since otherwise it is possible to damage the selector.

    Close a collar round a clamp (marksman), tighten it and keep in such position. Remove the handle (3) upwards from the selector. Open a forward ashtray and disconnect a cover.
    Release clips (2) and take out upwards an overlay of the selector (1) of the central console.
    Disunite a socket from outside overlays.

For switch Tiptronic removal press inside stoppers (2), disconnect an overlay from the bottom part and take out the switch from an overlay.

    Disconnect strong jerk a cover of the selector (1) of the holder of a clip and pull upwards.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

    Establish the selector in position D, establish a cover of the selector and fix it. Join a socket, establish and fix an overlay of the selector and a cover. Establish into place an ashtray cover. Establish on the selector the handle and fix it.

The clamp should be thus extended from the handle as it is described at removal, and is fixed by a cable collar. The clamp should show to the left towards the driver.

    Remove a collar of a cable and press a clamp into the handle. Shift the plug on the selector upwards, turn clockwise and fix.
